Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Cannot sign in through our company's firewall

I cannot connet to Internet from my PC for some security reasons of my company. But I negotiated to our security department to connect to http://www.unrealengine.com and http:epicgames.com. After that I became to be able to connect to these sites and log in them from web browsers. But I cannnot sign in from Epic game launcher. How can I sing in and download Engines through our company firewall? If I know the correct address to sign in thtough the launcer, I could ask our security department to make an excertion of firewall , and will be able to use Unrealengine.

Hi jfukuda,

Make sure that your IT department puts in exceptions not only for EpicGames.com but also all of the sub-domains.

If that doesn't work, try the '-http=winnet' suggestions from this section of the troubleshooting guide.

Let us know how it goes.
