UT: Customize Weapon Appearance modding tutorial.
I was trying to do the customize weapon appearance tutorial, but then I noticed that the weapon shader didn't work correctly. For me the referenced M_TutorialWeapon_Base looks like shown below in the editor and in game.
It shows two errors: "[SM5] warning X3206: implicit trunction of vector type" and "[SM5] error X4510: maximum ps_5_0 sampler register index (16) exceeded". In the material editor for the MasterWeaponShader shows as shown below, it seems to have textures but it doesn't look quite right?
I have used the verify option in the launcher to make sure that i didn't accidently changed something, so it should be the correct version. It's the editor with unreal tournament included, running Windows 7 and don't have any trouble viewing the other materials and weapons as far as I know.
EDIT: I have tested it and the same occurs in the clean-master branch of the UT repository.
I was able to reproduce this and have entered a bug report, UT-1038, to be assessed by the development staff.

That is an internal JIRA log number that users can't access. The ticket is still marked as "To Do". I added a comment linking this post and added a "Live Issue" label to bring attention.
Please note that this may not be prioritized or fixed quickly.
