At present the compilation of the material in material editor rise on each modification of this material. if I make 50 edits before to achieve my goal, the 49 unnecessary compilation will be started.
You should post this in the Feedback Section of the Forums.UnrealEngine.com. Feature requests on the AnswerHub is not the best way to get attention on something like this. Epic checks the Feedback section more than any other in the forums and you are more likely to get a response there.
