how to get godrays from translucent material

Hello,

I’m looking for a way to get light shaft occlusion working with a translucent cloud material. If I make the cloud material masked, I get the godrays but the edges of the clouds are wrong as the clouds are semi transparent. But if I set the material to translucent, the edges look correct but there are no godrays… :frowning:

I’m wondering if there’s a way to get correct godrays from a translucent material?

I tried also duplicating the material and setting it to masked and hiding that mesh, but then the godrays also disappear. Any help would be much appreciated :slight_smile:

Ok so I finally figured it out… On the translucent material just needed to un-tick Separate Translucency and it works :slight_smile:
