Launch game as dedicated server

I’m looking for the command argument to launch the game as a headless dedicated server. Using “server” or “-server” does not work as it used to in unreal 3. The game still launches with a viewport. I tried this using a cooked version of the game.

Hi Prea,

I’m sorry you are having issues with this. Can you let us know what example you are using, and the configuration used to compile?

If you compile ShooterGame with the “Development Editor” configuration and launch the resulting UE4Editor.exe with the cmdline of “Shootergame -server -log”, does this work for you?

It launched the game, and did not create a window. However at the same time it did crash during initialization, so I can’t be sure this actually works.

Had to rename .dmp and .log to txt otherwise the system won’t accept them as files…
