Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Unreal Crashing

I'm on the latest version of 4.8.2, and my game has suddenly started crashing when baking. I get the following error if anyone can help:

Unknown exception - code 00000001 (first/second chance not available)

Hi Element457,

We've moved this post into the Bug Reports section, and I've assigned a member of our team to look into the crash. Please copy the information in the Crash Reporter dialogue, including your MachineID, and paste it in a reply. Then zip and attach the log file from the project's Saved\Logs folder. Your dxdiag may also be helpful. Thanks!

Hey Element457,

In order to further understand how this crash happened and why I will need to get some information from you. When the crash occurs there is a crash report that has your machine ID on it. I will need that ID from you. This will allow me to look through our database of crashes and find yours specifically and that will show me how this crash occurred.

I will need you to recreate the crash and then look for your machine ID on the report. Also if you would write a brief description and then submit that report I can then look into this crash further.
