Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hi, with at least the X360 controler when you connect it you can control the game with both keyboard and the gamepad automatically, but that might not work with other controllers, let's wait for an official response telling if this is limited to a few certain gamepads (and which are them).

Thanks, I bought a xbox 360 gamepad official for PC. And it works perfectly.

Great. And for your information, if you want to test local multiplayer, having multiple X360 controllers connected to the PC lets you or the people with you control as many players as gamepads there are (if there are enough players created in the scene, of course).

Is it possible to use an xbox controller & keypad for input control in the UE4 editor? I find sitting in front of a mouse & keyboard for hours while building a game, very uncomfortable. Would love to be able to kick back with a wireless xbox/keypad, and use the joysticks for mouse, and keypad instead of keyboard.

Hey CURTROCK,

This is not currently possible within the editor. We encourage anyone with access to the source code to implement this kind of functionality. Let us know if you do!

Hey guys, coming back to Alberts first comment: aside from the 360 controller, is there a possibility to use other controllers as well? Thanks for the help :)

Well, it seems from what read in other posts that other famous controllers works directly with UE4 too, but as an example I've also tried a not very used controller (or so it seems) which doesn't work. So some controllers, but not all. It would be nice to have a list of many of them.
