Lens Flares Flicker in 4.8.2

All projects in UE 4.7.6 have stable lens flares, including the Sample Projects by Epic like Elemental.

However, all Levels opened in 4.8.2 including Minimal_default, Elemental and my own projects have an inconsistent flickering after every second or so, especially the Sun lens flare.

I haven’t altered any config files.

Is there a solution to this?

Hello Lycan17,

With the release of 4.8, we implemented some major Post Processing changes. You can make changes to the Lens Flare settings by either going into the default Post Process Volume within the level, or through the ‘Project Settings’ within the ‘Rendering Section’.

Edit: I just tried and still flickers in 4.9.

Would you mind providing me with your system’s specifications or ‘dxdiag’?

Could you also provide me with some simple reproducible steps so I can get this issue to occur in a blank project?

If this is a simple repro, you can try testing to see if the issue occurs in the 4.10 preview 3 release and let me know of your findings.

Hi, somehow the flickering is gone. I think decreasing the amount of Lens Flares - BokehSize did the trick. Now it’s all good. I have also uploaded my dxdiag.
