Moving World Browser Tiles?

Within the world browser, how does one move the position of a specific tile? It seems to work for one tile I have (the “Minimal_Default” level that comes with the third-person template) but I have another world tile called “Hill” that is nothing but a landscape, and the editor does not allow me to move it. The position X/Y sliders are not greyed out, but I cannot change them.

When you open level tiles inside World Browser we intentionally disable landscape transformation in level viewport. This is to make sure that adjacent landscape tiles will always be correctly positioned against each other. In case you need to move landscape to a new place in the world you need to move his level tile inside World Browser.

Hi, I have the same problem; it’s not with the landscape transform in the viewport “Details” view, it is the actual level offset X and Y fields inside world browser for the tile. I can edit the X and Y values, but when I hit enter, they go back to what they were before. I can not move the tile within the world browser because of this.

Hi,

Probably it’s because of landscape snapping. Landscapes snap their offset to a size of landscape component. To enable seamless editing of a landscape which is divided to several proxies, we need to snap landscapes to an internal grid. Enter bigger values, bigger than size of 1 component, and it will move.
