Dude, go to “Edit” → “Editor Preferences” → “Experimental” → “Foliage” → Enable “Procedural Foliage”
and then check again. Its a Feature that they’ve quickly developed for a specific Task (Open World Foliage Generaion) and is not really integrated by standard, so you have to enable it first.

So be it!Thanks buddy

I apologize for necroing this thread horribly, but my question is a bit different. I’m running 4.10 and I have already entered the editor preferences and enabled the procedural foliage option, however, when I go to create the node in the content window for the “procedural foliage spawner”, the miscellaneous menu and everything underneath including the “procedural foliage spawner” is not there. Missing. Not even an option. I’m wondering if someone out there has either had this same issue or has a fix to it. Thanks in advance for any help that I get.

Sorry under Edit I cannot find “Editor Preferences” - but “Project Settings”. But there isn’t an “Experimental” entry there. I am using Unreal 4.9 Editor on a Mac.

Found it! On Mac go to “Unreal Editor”->“Preferences”. Window with tab “Editor Preferences” opens. You will find “Experimental” under “General” then.

Thank you so much for this post, I have been looking for this for over a day!

thank youuu
