Epic Games Launcher won't connect to the internet

Hi guys,

I am trying to install Unreal Engine 4, but the installation gives me some problems. When I launch the launcher it says “No version information recieved.” and when I go in offline mode it won’t connect to anything.

This are the things that I already tried:

  • Change my DNS to Google’s public DNS

  • Follow all the steps in the fix
    tutorial

  • added -http=wininet at the end of the target

  • my firewall is always off

  • my routers firewall is off

  • I do not have an anti-virus

  • I re-installed the launcher 4x

  • when I open https://account-public-service-prod03.ol.epicgames.com/account/api/version I get the following:

    {

    “app” : “account”,
    “moduleName” : “Epic-Account-PublicService”,
    “branch” : “Release”,
    “buildDate” : “2015-04-30T02:23:37.597Z”,
    “serverDate” : “2015-07-26T20:28:22.976Z”,
    “build” : “91”,
    “cln” : “2531218”,
    “overridePropertiesVersion” : “$Revision: #83 $”,
    “version” : “1.20”
    }

So I hope you guys can help me out, I added the logs of the launcher in this post. Kind regards, Niels Pijpers

Log files here

Sorry for the late response. I took a look at your logs, but we will actually need to enable more detailed logging in order to help pinpoint what the problem is.

Could you try to reproduce again and post the logs, except this time, add “-forcelogflush” and “-debuglogging” to your target shortcut of the Epic Games Launcher? So your commandline should look something like this: “C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Binaries\Win64\EpicGamesLauncher.exe” -debuglogging -forcelogflush.

Hi Niels_Pijpers,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please try the suggestion that Brendan mentioned above. Then post back here with the requested info.

Cheers,

TJ
