ColorLookupTable filtering causing LUT artifacts

Hey guys,
In extreme lighting situations with extreme LUTs, we’ve found artifacts being introduced when moving from 4.7 to 4.8. The texture group for the lut is set to ColorLookupTable and when the filtering is set to DEFAULT we get wrong colors showing up in areas (pure green where it should be pure yellow. Bright red where it should be dark purple). Setting filtering to TRILINEAR fixes the issue, so it seems related to the filtering mechanism. This shows up in VR mode and mono mode:

Hello chorne,

Yes switching over to the Trilinear filter does seem to minimize the result of the color artifacting. I am not sure if this is so much of a bug or just a way to optimize the viewing of colors/ and blending inside of occulus.

I am guessing this is similar to the way to optimize the sharpness of shadows and the like.

I will look into this further

Thanks,
