Static mesh component causes crash

not sure what really causes it but i was playing around with the third person template and whenever i add a static mesh component then click the drop down to select the mesh the engine crashes

this is in 4.8.2, also i build from the source if that helps.

also debugged the engine and got this info

So in order to further understand what this crash is and how it happened I will need your machine ID. This is reported in your crash reporter. This will allow me to search through our database of all of the crashes experienced by our users that have been reported. I can find yours and look at your logs to determine how this crash occurred in the first place. After you recreate your crash and get your machine ID if you would write a brief description of what happened and report it.

i cant seem to recreate the crash anymore but i went into the logs folder and got my machine id from an xml file.

but the crash happened when ever i tried to select the mesh for a static mesh component via the little drop down box in its details panel

Unless you submit the report it will not show up in our database. I have just searched for any crash associated with your machine ID and I receive no match.

My suggestion is not to use the drop down arrow. If you do experience this crash again. Submit the report, open up another ticket and I will be able to investigate further.
