Packaging/Optimal Settings for VR

I have a couple questions regarding packaging a level/game for VR.

I am nearing the end of my scene set up in UE 4.8. It’s a simple interior and I haven’t run into too many problems. I am using all static lighting with proper lightmaps and no overlapping UV’s. I am using the DK2 and the starter first person character as my player, not the one that was designed in the VR Template. I have been able to preview correctly through the DK2 but I wanted to make sure once I package the game, I’ll still be able to view the standalone game through my DK2.

Also there was a post a couple months back taken from a UE4 conference where the VR guys put up some settings to have your VR scene run buttery smooth. I don’t think these settings have carried over to 4.8. Has anyone found optimal settings for VR in 4.8? Whether it be in the World Settings, the GameRender.ini or any other place.
