Import texture error

I’m having a problem with a texture.

This is what it is suppose to look like.

However, in UE4 it looks like this with and without SRGB on.

Any reason why this is happening?

un-tick sRGB.
The texture you made has different gamma settings/color range than what ue4 expects, which is causing that.

I’ve already stated above that with and without sRGB unchecked it still causes it.

Strange, because the moment I import your texture into ue4 and disable sRGB it looks fine to me.

Yeah I get the same, I should have elaborated on this so I apologize. Can you add this to a model in a material and see if it is dark because when I got the sRGB off and then apply a material it still comes out as the washed out texture. I’m using the new updated 4.8 too.

So in the end what the problem was is that I was using Substance designer, for anyone in the future who gets this problem, if you find your Substance texture is being funny and you get this issues, just make sure that your Albido/Base Color output bit rate is 8bit and not 16it.
The problem with my texture here was that it was 16bit so I just needed to convert it to 8bit on which you can do in Substance Designer.
