Where should I start as a beginner with UE4?

Hi there, I’m currently still studying and I’m really intrested in using UE4 but my question is it viable for me to use this even though I don’t really know much of coding and sorts yet? If so are there any good guides or tutorials out yet which can learn met how to use this?

Hello,

Thanks for your question. We have loads of documentation for beginners: Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation

Also we host a ton of great tutorials created by users: A new, community-hosted Unreal Engine Wiki - Announcements - Epic Developer Community Forums

And even a bunch of video tutorials: Massive UE4 Tutorial Playlist - YouTube

Many demo projects are available with subscription and are easy to take apart to learn from. To answer your question about coding, you do not need to know any programming at all to create a game with UE4, all thanks to our BluePrints visual scripting feature.

I hope this helps you, please let me know if you have any additional questions!

Cheers!

As far as blueprints goes, it DOES help to have some sort of basic understanding of object oriented programing. www.lynda.com has AMAZING video tutorials on what object oriented programming is (and just about anything else) , how it works etc. It wont make a game for you knowing these things, but it will help by giving you a sort of general direction as to what node youre looking for next.

Hello,

Thank you for the verry fast response.

This was exactly what I was looking for thank you verry much, I will get started right away.

Greetings,

Dexzar
