Android Package won't work?

Hi, I have a galaxy 3 snapdragon based cpu and any of the compression settings work?
ATC
ETC1 and so on…

Hi Roy, ETC1 is compatible with all devices. You may also want to try using the general Android setting to package all texture types (takes longer, but has the greatest compatibility). If those don’t work, please post your packaging and game logs.

Same issues, I already posted a log of a packaging session. There is another thread with this issue where it is implies that it is an amd processor issue, which set me off, but as it now seems to be an issue with Samsung devices, I hope it gets resolved quickly. I would say a huge percent of android users are using Sammy.

My game development stops here though, since that is my tablet and phone maker. :confused: and AMD is my cpu and gfx card maker, so all my dev hardware is potentially incompatible… that is depressing.

Hey Roy, How far are you getting in regards to packaging? Are you getting an app to the device? Do you get any errors during Launch? Where is the hangup, and what are the symptoms of your issue?

Hi Adric.Worley I have discover that with new android hardware it runs but with my Samsung galaxy S3 and others wont work.

Thank you for your report. We were not able to investigate this on the engine version you reported, but there have been many version changes to UE4 since this question was first posted. With a new version of the Engine comes new fixes and it is possible that this issue has changed or may no longer occur.
