Drag and drop material to landscape splines, working wrong now

In 4.7 i could assign a few different materials to meshes on landscape splines inside of one segment of the road, just by “drag and drop”.

Now, in 4.8 material assigning on all meshes in segment. It’s a visual diversity problem, for the race game.

Would you mind providing me with some reproducible steps in a blank project so I can get the issue to appear on my end. I am not quite sure I understand what you are doing as far as applying multiple materials per spline segment. If you could elaborate a bit on what you are attempting to do, perhaps I can provide an alternative method or workaround.
