Why on crashing does UE4 not give a crash report?

The launcher starts up fine and I’ve downloaded the Content examples as well.
The problem occurs when I click on the launch button, a loading box comes up then after about 15 seconds it disappears and nothing happens, and the launcher stays open.

  • Are you running OSX / Windows?
  • Is this after a normal installation, or have you tried to migrate an installation from another computer that you have?
  • Have you tried the “verify install” link under the Launch button?
  • Could you upload log files please? This post will explain how to get the Launcher logs

I am running on Windows 7, I have tried the verify install and the same thing happened. I have the logs now here is a link to them.

Hi Gunthera, sorry, I could do with the entire Logs folder not just the latest log, the latest one is not always the one that has helpful info in it :). Could you put the whole Logs folder into a ?

Also, this could be an editor issue not a launcher issue as I first thought, so it will be helpful to have the following zipped up too:-
C:\ProgramData\Epic\Engine\Saved\Logs
C:\Program Files\Unreal Engine\4.0\Engine\Programs\CrashReportClient\Saved\Logs

Alright I got the logs for the C:\ProgramData\Epic\Engine\Saved\Logs
But under C:\Program Files\Unreal Engine\4.0\Engine\Programs
I’m not seeing a CrashReportClient folder.

Thank you for your patience. We were able to find a problem with the crash report client not generating the folder in question. A report has been created about the Crash logs folder not being created correctly and our developers are now working on the issue. We are still investigating the crash however.
