Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to cut a hole into a landscape?

I checked at the Content Examples Landscape map and I managed to cut a hole into that landscape without problem.

But when I wanted to do the same with my material the landscape (part of it) become black. I am testing stuff in the ThirdPersonShooter example.

I even migrated the Content Examples material to my project but without any luck. It gives the same blackiness.

I also checked this: https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/16947/landscape-visibility-material-bug.html#answer-271533

but there is no simple material setup with the LerpHeight Node. I have 3 textures only. Maybe I'll use 4 but not that many that the link has.

Well the workaround for a similar looking landscape is here: alt text

You cam play around with the parameters to get more close to a LayerBlend node.
