I was unable to find any documentation myself on this, however, after some testing I found that you must use fbx 2014/2015 and not the newest version. I tested this with MayaLT and confirmed it. UE4 Documentation has yet to be updated as well but the FBX import guide states to use this version as well, so to avoid issues I would use that version.
As a further side note for specific import, you can change the up direction in PhysX Labs by going to view/X UP, Y UP, or Z UP. When I initially imported it,it did not change the up direction properly.
