Transculent sconce material

Hello community,

we want to archive a sconce like in the image below. The parts that are closer to the lightbulb shall be brighter than the parts that are further away of the lightbulb.

Do we have to create masks and blend the emissive intensity or is there a special function that allows the emissive parts of the light bulb to pass through the lamp cover?

HI PyxtonStudios -

You will want to use a Translucent Material with the Subsurface Shading Model. This will allow you to set a Base Color, Roughness and Metallic Aspects of your Lamp Shade and also set the color of the light transmitting through the shader itself, subsurface Color.
