Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[4.9 P1] PP-Material: SceneTexture-node stopped working

Hi there,

some materials doesn't seem to work in 4.9 (rendered without a problem in 4.8):

I don't know, what exactly might be the problem here. It says something like "PostProcessMaterials should use the SceneTexture PostProcessInput0" - but there is none.

So, is this just a bug? Again, the same material is working like a charm in 4.8...

Hi Spyro -

If you select the SceneTexture:SceneColor node and do to the details panel in the Material, you will see a dropdown selection that currently is set to SceneColor. Select that dropdown and one of the options is PostProcessInput0. Select that input and your Post Process Material will work again as expected.

Actually that is not correct, postprocessInput0 is something different. It is the final rendering with effects, tonemapping and gamma correction while Scene Color is a bare bone rendering which is very useful in a post processing material to do calculations with. The error message makes no sense to me at all, I wrote a full bug report here: https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/308696/scenetexture-scenecolor-not-working-anymore.html
