Could I make a paid android app that teaches users about the UE4 documentation?

The documentation is already there and free, yet people still ignore checking it or dont know about it somehow. What you are trying to make is like making the tutorial for a tutorial. Don’t get me wrong but people will ignore your app as well or just not buy it at all once they know the existence of a documentation. :\

Yea, Im not sure about how this works legally, but if you want to cash in off UE4. Make a game

Well I don’t always have an internet connection to look at the documentation, plus I don’t think there is a pdf version of the documentation so far. And I’ve seen a couple of people asking for pdfs of the documentation so I’m thinking about making it into an app, But if I’m going to spend time on converting the whole documentation into an app I think a .99 cent app will be a sufficient convenience fee.

@leetums That was literally no help about my question

it says about the documentation, which means concerning or in regard to

In that case i agree that it would be useful(still it’s Epic’s decision to give you permission). You need to change the question though since it is misleading. It made me think you want to make an app that teaches how to use the documentation.

You are welcome to make a free mobile app that complies with Epic’s fan art/site policy (here). That requires the use be non-commercial and make clear that it is unofficial.

If you want to make a paid app, you can’t use Epic’s trademarks or copyrighted materials (which includes the documentation itself).

I read into that, and I just wanted to be sure about it before I made anything, Thanks for your help that answers my question
