placing LightmassCharacterIndirectDetailVolumes

I placed a LightmassCharacterIndirectDetailVolumes to get denser volume lighting samples in small floating area. I don’t see any new volume lighting samples after rebuilding lighting. Any ideas?

The LCIDV will increase the number of volume samples within the volume without the need to adjust any settings in the World settings for the Volume Lighting Samples.

Here is a comparison between the same scene with a Lightmass Importance Volume and a Lightmass Character Indirect Detail Volume.

LIV:

LCIDV:

This is using the default World Settings: Volume Light Sample Placement Scale of 1.0.

Lowering the value will increase the number of samples generated in the volumes for both LIV and the character one, where as increasing the value will decrease the number of generated samples. There are other settings that can be changed for the behavior of placed samples, but this requires editing the .ini files.
