Did "Pilot Mode" get removed in 4.8?

Placed a camera actor and according to this page I can go into “Pilot Mode” to drive the view to where I want it. The Right-Click context menu has no such option, though. “Focus Selected” and “Snap View to Actor” are the only options under “Actor.”

I can see it on 4.8.1. Can you provide a screenshot please?

Okay, so on my SECOND reboot of the Editor (did try it before posting here) Pilot Mode does now show up. No idea why. Same exact project/level, and same Actor. Only thing different is that I deleted 4.6’s data (am on 4.8.3). /shrug

Soooooooo, where is it 4.10.1

It’s still there(select an object > right click) in 4.11 Preview, it must be there in 4.10 as well.

When I drag a camera into the world and right click, there is no pilot option.

Hi MuNansen and DaJackal,

I’ve not tested this in 4.8.3 since it’s a build from close to a year ago, but I’m not seeing any issue in 4.10.1 or in 4.11 Preview 1.

As Jackie requested, it would be extremely helpful if you could post a screen shot of what you’re seeing when you right click on an object, and if you could also test this in a new blank project as well.

This can help determine if it’s project specific or something is wrong with your engine version or installation. If it’s not happening in the blank project, but is happening in your personal project then it would be helpful to know what asset you’re trying to affect and details like, is it movable or static, is it a blueprint or just a static mesh, etc.

Thank you!

Tim
