Weird black spots on mesh

I’m not sure if it is seams or not but I went ahead and tweaked some settings around in the project and found out that it was coming from the ambient occlusion.

Hello,

I was wondering whether this is normal for some meshes to have in ue4. I made the mesh in blender and then exported as an fbx. The weird thing is that i don’t find these spots/seams in the asset view but when i put them in the level, they become bigger or smaller depending on my distance from them.

It looks like a seam issue from the UVW Unwrap. When you Did the UVW unwrap for the mesh were there seams next to these dark areas on the mesh? Overlapping UV’s can also cause this and that would give you an error when you build lighting.
