Hi Salhooog -

Can you please go into Windows Event Viewer and find the Error Record that corresponds to the time immediately before and after your crash (within 1 to 2 minutes) and post the logs here?

Thank You

Any Answer !

Hi Salhooog -

If the Crash Reporter is not appearing when the engine closes and there is nothing in the Windows Event Viewer then your CPU is actually not crashing. Are you getting any popups at all when the Editor closes? Is it seemingly frozen and then you CTRL-ALT-DELETE to close the editor?

Can you also take a look again at the Windows Event Viewer, if Windows or any application running experiences any error they will appear in the viewer?

Also please attach your DXDIAG.

Thank You

Eric Ketchum

Hello, have you had any problems with the material editor crashing in previous versions of the engine. I am still on 4.8 and my material editor does the same.

Actually there is a Popups After crashing it says :

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly ,
Windows will close the program and notify a solution is available .

I found this inside DXDIAG.text :

Problem signature:

P1: UE4Editor.exe
P2: 4.9.0.0
P3: 55c47bd5
P4: igdusc64.dll

Yes i had , and still on 4.9 Preview 3 !!

Up Up Up .

Hi Salhooog -

Your DXDIAG indicates that you are running the Intel Integrated Graphics Card and not the Nvidia 970 you listed above. Can you try to run your DXDIAG again with the Engine Running and upload again? There is a known issue with Intel Integrated Graphics Cards on the exact Driver Version that is listed in your Problem Signature (10.18.10.3540). You can eliminate that issue with updating your Intel Graphics Driver via the following link:

Download Intel Drivers and Software

If you have any Nvidia Optimus switching, I would also check that you are up to date on that software.

Thank You
