Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hello hls333555,

Currently Deferred Decals are not supported on Mobile platforms.

Forums - Decal Functionality

https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?56982-Decal-functionality-for-mobiles-devices

Documentation - Materials for Mobile Platforms

https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Platforms/Mobile/Materials/index.html

The documentation outlines the current mobile limitations for materials and their associated shading models.

Thank you,

Andrew Hurley

Actually, the coming 4.9 update make it available for mobile,so I'm sure it is a BUG,maybe the document needs to be up to date...alt text

Hey hls333555,

Basic unlit decals. Supports three blend modes:

Stain = Modulate Emissive = Additive Translucent = Translucent. Decals with other blend modes will not be rendered on mobile devices.

Only skeletal meshes support switching off "Receive Decals" flag.

I found this little bit of information in the feature request that was submitted for Mobile Decal support.

Thank you for pointing out this bit of information as I was unaware we had supported it yet. It can be sometimes a bit much to keep up with all of the additions/fixes we make with each preview release.

Cheers,

Andrew Hurley
