[Request] Center geometry brush pivot

I like to manipulate brushes a lot in geometry mode and this often leads to pivots being very far from the center of the brush. Can a “center pivot” option be added to the pivot menu when eligible objects are selected? Even if only box brushes are eligible which shouldn’t be hard given the 8 vertices.

I know I can move the pivot and save it, but it’s a pain if I want two pivots for two symmetrical brushes to be in the same relative spot and it’s impossible if I want the pivot in the center of the brush. It just helps with placing brushes and generally would make things faster.

Greetings!

Yes, I’m looking for exactly the same feature!

Simply creating to brushes, the inner one is subtractive so that the resulting object should be a nice hull.
However if the pivot elements of both brushes are not on the same spot, I wondered why I cant find a dialog displaying their transforms anywhere or an alternative to shift them into the middle position.

Hi Jamesbh,

Thanks for the suggestion. This is a frequently requested feature and is under consideration by the developers.

Thanks, TJ

The feature is not there in 4.4.0 as well. Do we have any idea when would it be implemented?

Hi rleiker13,

It is still part of our feature request log at the moment and has moved up in priority since it was entered. It will take some time but our developers are going through these as fast as possible. Please keep in mind that Feature Requests aren’t guaranteed to be implemented, however each will be considered by the developers.

Thanks, TJ

Bump
4.5.1
As of today 17th of November 2014 and it still don’t seem to be implemented.
