Whats the difference between the source code launching and the normal 7gb download?
compiling the source code and stuff and the already packed 7gb download??

If you choose to build the source code or download the client via the launcher, your end result will be the same. However, I do not think building it from source would be necessarily faster because you still need to download content as pointed out in the tutorial for source building.
Perhaps you can get an external drive and build the engine from source at a friends house?
