Global lighting not working?

Hey guys, I just started up using UE4 and I am building a little interior space from tutorial video to get a feel for things. I noticed that there are no shadows and everything is evenly lit. Lighting is set to “lit” so that’s not the issue. I can place and move a light around and no shadows are cast by any of the building materials. I am building mostly with the geometric shapes. The picture is a little odd because I have a dual monitor setup.

Did you build lighting?

Hello AustinCL,

If you are using Stationary or Static lighting you will need to build your lights. This will calculate where your shadows will be and where you light is shining via ray tracing.

Performing a lighting bake will greatly enhance your performance as lighting is not calculated in real time.

I will also link your our official documentation on lighting on our wiki :

Thanks,

Thank you!!
