How to implement ejection of cartridge cases?

Hello everybody! I’m trying to make a machinegun and slightly confused with the question in the topic. Obviously, I have to place a socket in the ejection slot, but what should I place in it? Is it a particle system that emits static mesh of the cartridge? Or is it some kind of a blueprint that spawns and accelerates the mesh (is it to be static or sceletal?)? Which case will provide higher performance? Or there is special solution? In which direction should I dig as long as cartidges should slightly rotate and bounce on the floor?
