[Epic Official] Read this if you have a Subscribe button instead of Launch button

My UE4 Launcher shows a ‘Subscribe’ button, although I have already subscribed. I am not able to launch the Editor.

If you have a paid subscription and the Launcher’s button still says “Subscribe” please report it here. We are aware of the issue and are working as quickly as possible to address it.

Please refer to this post as the official Epic response to this issue. We will keep this top post updated with the current information and potential solutions regarding this issue. Please do not attempt potential fixes provided in other posts, as they are most likely out-of-date. If you are still experiencing the issue after trying any potential solutions recommended below, please post a single “Answer” to this post with the information that we request. HELP US INVESTIGATE:

If you are experiencing the issue, please provide the following:

  • Let us know if this is your first time attempting to use UE4, or if it was working for you previously.
  • Tell us your Launcher’s Version number, which can be found in the bottom-left corner of the Launcher.
  • If you are using Windows, please attach a zip file with your log, located here: C:\Users\AppData\Local\UnrealEngineLauncher\Saved\Logs
  • If you are using a Mac, please attach a zip file with your log, located here: /Users//Documents/UnrealEngineLauncher/Saved/Logs
  • In the same zip attachment, please also include your system’s dxdiag

Was working but had other issues with building (self-inflicted by over-zealous system clean) so reinstalled computer from fresh.

  • OSX 10.9.2 (so no dxdiag, not sure what to give instead?)
  • Log Files
  • This is my first attempt to use the Launcher (Signed up today)
  • I have tried uninstalling, logging out, etc. No luck.

I am experiencing the Subscribe button issue. I subbed yesterday. Here is my dxdiag and logs.

For what it’s worth; I got this issue after I attempt to uninstall and reinstall on another drive. That process didn’t work correctly so I deleted the C:\ProgramData\Epic\ folder and reinstalled again then I hit this bug

Been using UE4 for a week or so on a Windows 8.1 64bit PC fine. On this PC Win 7 64bit it worked when 1st downloaded but has stopped working sometime over the last couple of days.

link textSame issue here… I’ve got it working on OSX just fine, but it’s stuck on the subscribe button on my windows box.

Hope you guys can resolve this quickly. I’m in the processing of porting my unity project over.

Same problem. Launcher and dxdiag provided, but log files are not in the location specified. In fact, that location does not appear to exist. First time installing UE4.

I also have this problem. UE4 launcher was working previously, but upon uninstall and reinstall, following the deletion of the proper manifest file, this problem occurred.

For the record, the problem started after I tired to reinstall and was met with a Launch button without being able to redownload the files. Then I followed the steps here https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/14719/uninstalled-ue4-cant-reinstall.html and after that I was stuck with a Subscribe button.
