Why is my custom mesh so bright?

So I made a custom mesh using the brush tool and for some reason it’s extremely bright. If I set the mesh to static then the mesh is completely dark but when I set the mesh to movable then it’s the brightest thing ever. So what’s going on? Here’s what the mesh looks like if I set it to movable and then build the lighting:

Please note that the other meshes that aren’t custom are much darker than my custom mesh.

So if I set the mesh to static then it’s completely black (as in you can’t see the texture at all) and when I set it to movable then it’s the brightest thing ever. What’s going on? How do I control how much light gets reflected off the object?

So I checked light as if Static and it’s still super bright.

Hi

Normally moveable objects aren’t lit by lightmass and can only receive dynamic lighting. However you could check under the lighting tab and check ‘Light as if Static’. Maybe it helps.

Regarding your complete black mesh when setting it to static: Have you rebuild the lighting? Do you have a proper UV layout for the lightmap?

check that you outtest static mesh cast dynamic shadow and in world settings -
