How to increase landscape brush size beyond 65536?

Have you tried making multiple landscapes adjoined together at the edges?

I haven’t tried this personally, but I recall you can do several together somewhere.

So I’ve been trying to make a really large landscape–actually the biggest size the engine supports.
While it worked fine to create the landscape, it’s near impossible to do anything useful with the brush size being 65536.0. When trying to paint on the terrain, it only affects areas of about 1 kilometer in diameter which makes it difficult to quickly flesh out mountains, and a rough geometry for my map.

Is there something I should’ve done while creating the landscape, or is there some way to increase the brush size beyond 65536? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I’m not sure if that would help. All that would do would be to give me a larger map–what I want is to be able to affect a larger area than 1km in diameter with the sculpt brush. I’ll experiment with some settings to see if I can figure out something.

I came up with a less than ideal solution on my own–though I’m going to keep the question open to see if anyone comes with a better solution.

Basically, since I cannot have a brush larger than the 65536.0 unreal units, I instead work with a relatively small landscape, and then scale it to the proper scale once I’m happy with how it looks. This yields a pretty low resolution landscape, though I’m not that concerned as I will place rocks and foliage, etc. which will cover up ugly stretched topology so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem, but I’d be happy to see a better solution for something like this.
