[4.9] Does "remove any previous TADP installation" means I can't no longer work with 4.8.3 in same PC?

There in 4.9 release notes says: “Please remove any previous TADP installation before running the new AndroidWorks installer.”.

It means if I want to migrate my mobile project to 4.9 then I can’t no longer work with 4.8.3 that is currently using TADP? :-/

Tried it… was fatal, nothing works.
BTW, Nsight Tegra, require me to have Full Edition of Visual Studio so that component failed with an error, but it allows you to keep installing. I suppose I don’t need that thing since my project is full blueprint.

Update: Reinstalled back the TADP and both 4.8.3 and 4.9.0 works fine with it. So the problematic seems to be AndroidWorks.

What error were you getting ? I just installed Android Works and my project is now failing to launch on my Android device as well even in 4.9.

ERROR: Can’t make an APK without an API installed (see “android.bat list targets”)

I’ve seen this occur if the SDK API level in Project Settings / Android SDK is not set properly. Try emptying the textbox and retyping in “lastest” or “matchndk”.

Also, for the Nsight install, you do not need Visual Studio Professional, you can use VS 2013 Community; it supports plugins. You can also select to customize the install and deselect Nsight.

Here is the error i get: 4.9 + AndroidWorks, can't package my game - Mobile - Unreal Engine Forums

The answer is YES, i can work in both 4.8.3 and 4.9.0 using AndroidWorks, just if this give you trouble check it out this other question: 4.9 + AndroidWorks, can't package my game - Mobile - Unreal Engine Forums
