as i understand from the documentation, at a scale of 100x100 (standart) the landscape resolution is 1 vertex/meter.
if i scale the landscape to, lets say, 200x200, i get a resolution of 1 vertex / 2 meters.
How can i scale my landscape without loosing resolution?
i want to build a landscape with a size of approx 75x75 kilometers.
if i were to scale the landscape to 75x75 kilometers, the resolution becomes unusable.
To be honest, if you want to use a landscape that is significantly larger it would be better to use World Composition so that you can you can use smaller landscape tiles that have a higher resolution. This is how the A Boy and His Kite demo was done.
So does this mean i need higher resolution images to achieve a higher resolution landscape?
So: Image resolution directly affects landscape resolution ?
Does this mean, if i want 1 meter per vertex on a 75 square kilometers map, i need a 75.000x75.000 pixel image to obtain a 1 vertex per meter resolution ?
The documentation below should provide you with the answer you are looking for, but if you are still a bit uncertain let me know and I can help re-iterate the information.
