Destructible Skeletal Mesh

Hello,

I’d like to know if it’s possible to create a destructible skeletal mesh. For example, if enough damage is applied on a specific part of a mesh it would shatter, like a hand.

Or, for example, if I apply damage onto a leg it would shatter, and then physics would be applied to it as if it was shorter.

That post is over a year old, I was hoping that it is possible now in 4.9.

However, you can create a physical asset using several rigid bodies that are constrained together. You can make the constraints breakable using a force threshold which sounds like it could work for this situation.

Is there a video of this anywhere?
