Modular floor shadow at boundaries

I read that there was a known issue rendering shadows of modular surfaces in UE, but the last post I can find about this problem was in 2014. My game will use modular flooring and I am experiencing the same problems. Are there any known fixes or workarounds to this problem yet?

Is that after you have built lighting?

Try opening the static mesh of the cube and increasing the lightmap resolution to 256 or 512. The higher it is the better the quality but also the longer it takes to bake.

check if the meshes might be overlapping slighty

yeah it is

Changing the resolution certainly helped but there still exists a seam between the two objects

It looks likes the meshes are okay to me. Is there any way to snap the meshes together? To align them I have just been using the move tool. It is difficult to get a good screenshot of this sorry.

If you go to the very top right of the viewport there’s a little cube, click it and you can look from the top, side etc. Zoom in on one of those to make sure the edges are on the grid lines where they meet. If they are I think the best way to fix them is to snap them to the grid in whatever modelling program you use.
