How do I use skylight with foliage to get correct shadows?

Hey all… I’m trying to come up with the best lighting solution for my scene, in particular, my foliage. I am currently using dynamic lighting with a Directional Light (moveable) and a Skylight (Stationary). I am using cascading and raytrace shadows. Here is my question. Why isn’t my foliage being shadowed correctly under this porch?

Would appreciate any help.

Thx!

My guess would be th emeshes you used for th efoilage have shadfows turned off. I see foilage shadows (bottom right corner) but because of the sun/light angles they are very short/sharp. It also seems if you have 2 differnt types of grass there one has shadows enabled, the other dosent.

If this cleared stuff up or answered your question dont forget to accept an answer so people who google/search and come across your post know exactly what to do because the select answer gets hi-lighted green for fast problem solving.

Use a reflection capture actor for that area. It should help block the skylight a bit.

Thx for the suggestion. I noticed no difference.

Hi, thanks for trying to help. I have about 5 different foliage meshes. All of them have shadows turned on.
