Thin and white parts of my material fade out when i get close.

From what you describe and your screenshots that you linked what looks to be happening is some of the textures that you have on your gun are fading out whenever you zoom in.

I do know that through unwrapping, your UV map is by default calculated on a 0 to 1 scale. What could be happening is that some of your lines are too thin to be picked up by that calculation. What can happen is that when UE4 does it’s pass and tries to pick up a line that is small enough to fall between where it calculates, then the line is not drawn.

I would recommend making those thin white lines a little thicker and see if that fixes the issue. If not, please message me again and I will investigate further.
