3ds max biped and root motion problem

Hi, i am trying to implement Kubolds Movement Animset using root motion, i am using a 3ds max biped character that i have re targeted the animations to with MotionBuilder the problem i am having is that the root motion appears to be centered on the pelvis causing the animation to not work right. I believe this is because the root bone for the biped skeleton is within the pelvis but i do not know for sure nor do i know what to do about it, if someone could please help me i would appreciate it a lot.
