Are you using the desktop version of Visual Studio Express 2013? If you’re using the Web, Windows app or other version, those are not compatible with UE4. Also, please look into the license for Visual Studio Community 2013 as this is usually a more viable option and is still free to download. It will also allow you to use UnrealVS if you wish.

The Desktop version of Visual Studio 2013 Express should work, but it would be best to use the Community version on this page if you can. It’s the purple one on the left.
Please don’t bump your post without more information without waiting at least 3 days for a response. Can you please go to your Control Panel > Programs & Features to make sure that Visual Studio is installed?

That could be the issue. As of now, the binary version of the engine (the version that is downloaded from the launcher) is not compatible with Visual Studio 2015. You’ll need to download Visual Studio 2013 Community from this page if you wish to use a compiler with the binary version of the engine.
