Blueprint gone in material editor

For some reason I can’t get my blueprint for this brick material to show up in the window. All my other materials seem to be working.

There is no “graph” option in the window menu and my tool bar at the top seems to be missing a few things also.

I’m a nub so most likely did something dumb if anyone has the answer to get my blueprint visible again I would appreciate it. I just want to adjust the scale in a texcoord node.

Here is a screen shot of my material editor.

Are you possibly trying to edit the Material Instance instead of the underlying Material? They have the same icon in the Content Browser, but the tooltip will mention which is which. You can also filter the Content Browser by specific asset types.

Material has a (Blueprint-like) graph whereas the Instance has not. Instead, the Material Instance “only” allows editing all the properties (in the Details panel to the left) that were exposed in its parent material.

In the Content Browser, the MaterialInstance tooltip will mention the path to the parent material.

You got it it was a material instance.

Thank you!
