Why is my project low quality now?

so i updated from 4.7 to 4.9 to add infinity blade assets to my project. I don’t know if it was because of assets but now my editor and in game looks low quality. There’s lower quality textures and blocky straight edges on meshes. I dont know whats wrong.

there are also stats in upper left and when i click on assets, their bounds and other things show up which are distracting and hard to work with. How can i shut those off? they weren’t showing before update.

Hi CloudMonster,

It looks like your Engine Scalability Settings got switched to a lower setting in conversion. Open editor and use Settings dropdown in main Toolbar. Set Engine Scalability Settings and Material Quality Level to a higher setting, and that should fix problem for you. You may also want to disable Monitor Editor Performance option to avoid future automatic changes.

For stats being shown, I can’t see specifically which is being displayed in images you provided, but first thing to try is to click Show button in Viewport and choose Use Defaults.

so yeah all my settings were on low so i changed them to epic and some of it got better but some of it stayed ugly. textures on outside of my houses are still low quality and some of my custom made meshes are black instead of having brown material i put on them in 4.7. so your suggestion only helped texture of inside of my houses.
Another thing i noticed is my point lights are still there but not emitting light.

thanks for helping, i found problems. My directional light was teleported somewhere else and my point lights were broken or not fully functioning after update but i fixed them by changing a setting on lights which was weird cuz when i changed it back it stayed fixed… this also happened with black houses. I dont understand why tho…
