Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Comment Bubbles extra options missing

Hey everyone,

i figured out on serveall example projects, since 4.8 and 4.9 the "Extra Options" of the Comment Bubbles aren't there anymore. Somehow they're invisible. Are they turn off by default somewhere or an Idea where they are? Couldn't find anything.

1 answer: sort voted first

Hello Spaehling,

We are not sure if this is intentional or not, but there is an open bug report in our system: UE-15912. You are still able to access the pinning and minimize options on individual nodes, variables, and such, just not on the comment boxes themselves.

Regards,

Sean Flint

Update on this? It looks like you used to be able to hide the secondary pop-up bubble on comment boxes? Is this coming back ever? The pop-up bubble is not only incredibly annoying, it's flat out non-functional. Observe this example and explain to me what purpose the pop-up bubbles serve? In the first, the bubble text is smaller than the regular text! Smaller!

This issue is still being investigated by our developers, but they are also currently focused on more high-priority crash and showstopper bugs, which could lead to a bit of time before a fix is released.

Have a great day
