Can't add vertices in collision editor in paper 2d

In paper 2d, in the sprite editor, under edit collisions I can’t add vertices. all the tutorials tell you to select edge and press insert. This doesn’t work.

Try holding shift and while holding shift left click on the spot where you want to put a vertex.
