So I’m feeling my way around Maya LT 2016 to add animations to a set of static buildings that I bought, and the fbx that I’ve exported crashes UE4 when I try to import it. There are no fbx import options of any kind, just crash after selecting the file in import

This is a known issue and being tracked as UE-20756. A fix is currently being developed for this issue, in the meantime, if you save the FBX as 2014/2015 instead of 2016, the fbx will import without a crash.
