I’m having a problem in my custom UE4 project where I can’t make new destructible meshes. If I open the destructible content example and migrate one of the destructible meshes into my project, it works fine. However, if I try to create my own destructible mesh (or if I open the migrated destructible from content example and click “Fracture Mesh” to regenerate the fracture) it does not work. I have tried following this tutorial several times, performing these exact steps: Unreal Engine 4 - Destructible Mesh Tutorial - YouTube
Whenever I click the “Fracture Mesh” button I can never access “Preview depth 1”. I only have “Preview depth 0” and the mesh does not become destructible. And yes, the static meshes I’m trying to use have collision setup (and like I said, clicking “Fracture Mesh” on the working destructibles in content example breaks those destructibles… maybe something is wrong with my install of UE4?). Any advice or things to try would be greatly appreciated!!
Same here. I haven’t dug into it much or tried to accomplish the same thing with C++, but I tried a couple of different meshes and was unable to use “preview depth 1.”
I installed Unreal Engine on my PC and I was able to get it to work as expected. It could be an issue with the support for Mac, which seems to be rather poor at the moment.
I’m sorry you all are having this issue. I just wanted to say that you have helped make this issue known and it is now being looked into by the developers.
